Restoration of woodwork in St Alfege church, Greenwich, built between 1712 and 1714 to designs by Nicholas Hawksmoor

Restoration work included replacement of missing and damaged carvings in Grinling Gibbons’s Corinthian capitals; repair, cleaning and waxing of all the pilasters and pillars; stripping and staining of skirtings and column bases; and moving and reinstating of all pews and choir stalls to enable cleaning of the stone floor
