The carvings on the cross were adapted from drawings made by the children at this small Church of England primary school, and include images of the school choir, sports, music, wildlife and lessons, with the school’s motto in the centre. The piece is about six foot tall and was carved from several pieces of European Oak, a traditional English carving wood, with gilding applied to the motto.
